Penney Simms lives in Corner Brook with the love of her life, Morgan.
Together they have raised two beautiful children, Mitchell and Maci and are now enjoying a new and exciting season as grandparents.
Penney is a licensed Personal Financial Planner; a Vanguard Bible College graduate; a certified Christian Counsellor and has been the sole owner/operator of Soul Care Counselling Services for over a decade.
In 2003, Penney had a Damascus Road experience with God and instantly , completely and boldly surrendered her life to Him.
She has overcome some of life’s greatest challenges including years of chronic depression and suicide attempts; addiction to alcohol; divorce and most recently very aggressive brain cancer- never once falling to give God ALL the glory for each victory!
Because of her authenticity in sharing her personal experiences , and her unique animated style , Penney has also become a sought after speaker known for making the Word of God come alive.
Her counselling model at Soul Care is founded upon biblical principles; the truth found in the Word of God and she proudly shares that every counselling session is saturated in prayer and guided by the Holy Sprit.
Penney’s vision and mission for Soul Care Counselling Services is summed up in Isaiah 61:1-3: “to preach the good news to the poor; heal the broken hearted; announce freedom to those held captive; proclaim Gods grace; and bring comfort to those who mourn.”
